Booking & Availability

Q1: How far in advance should I book my session in Calgary?

​Q2: How do I reserve my session?
A: A $210 non-refundable deposit reserves your date, which is applied toward your final payment. You can pay via etransfer, and confirmation is sent within 24 hours. Full details are in our Studio Policies Page.

Session Prep & What to Expect

Q3: What should I wear for my session?
A: Outfit choice can make a big difference in your photos. I provide detailed wardrobe guidance in my Session Prep & Post-Process Guide for newborn, maternity, and family sessions.

Q4: How long will my session take?
A: Sessions are unhurried: newborn sessions typically last 2–4 hours, maternity 1–2 hours, and family sessions about 45mins–1.5 hours, allowing time for feeding, cuddles, or breaks.

Q5: Where should we have the session?
A: I specialize in NW Calgary epic location for sunsets and SW Calgary for dreamy 'wow that's in Calgary' location with creek, or daytime sessions at Calgary NW Baker Park, which provide beautiful natural backdrops with minimal crowds but lots of shade.

Safety & Comfort

Q6: Is newborn photography safe?
A: Absolutely. Your baby’s safety is my top priority. I use professional posing techniques, props, and wraps designed for newborn comfort. Sessions move at your baby’s pace.

Q7: How do you handle kids during family sessions?
A: I focus on connection, fun, and authentic moments, rather than forced smiles, so everyone feels comfortable and natural.

Q8: What happens if the weather is bad for outdoor sessions?
A: Cloudy skies are beautiful and not a reason to reschedule. Sessions are only rescheduled if rain or snow exceeds 60–70%. I’ll contact you within 48 hours if changes are necessary.

Prints, Albums & Keepsakes

Q9: Can I order professional prints or wall art?
A: Yes! You can order high-quality prints and albums through White House Custom Colour (WHCC) with a sample price guide, or use PosterJack, which I recommend if you prefer to order independently. See Prints & Wall Art Page for examples and pricing.

Q10: How long until I receive my photos?
A: You’ll receive a sneak peek within a few days, and your full online gallery within 2–4 weeks, fully edited and ready for download or prints. Learn more on the Post-Process Page.

Rescheduling, Cancellation & Policies

Q11: What is the rescheduling or cancellation policy?
A: Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled via email. No extra cost if done 72+ hours in advance; $50 fee within 48 hours, $75 within 24 hours. Sessions can be rescheduled up to 1 year from the original date. Full details are on the Studio Policies Page.

Special / Seasonal Sessions

Q12: Do you offer holiday or Christmas sessions?
